    Essential Duties:
    Safety: Follow all company policies and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.
    Food Safety: Produce products following food safety practices and procedures and meets product specification for proper quality prior to shipment, and report deficiencies to management.

    Summary: A Sanitation Team Member will carry out the sanitary restoration procedures on designated equipment and services for which they have received specialized training. This person will use equipment and industrial sanitizers to bring equipment back to an FDA-compliant degree of cleanliness, this to be done with a primary focus on safety. To achieve hygienic compliance, this person needs to be meticulous, responsible, self-motivated, capable of working alone, and possess excellent time management abilities.

    Other Essential Duties: ·       
    Follows safety rules and company policies, to include and not limited to: 
    • Following established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing of equipment, containers and the facility. ·
    • Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment 
    • Measures and mixes chemicals per established procedures.
    • Follow respective titration.
    • Documents chemical usage and titration according to policy.
    • Observes how the equipment is used and reports any deficiency, safety concerns, food safety, or constraints to management. · 
    •  Follows all product standards, guidelines, and FDA cGMP (current good manufacturing practices). 
    • Maintains work area clean and well-maintained. 
    • Communicate any unusual or special sanitation opportunities to management.
    • Perform inspections of the equipment that is cleaned and sanitized.  These inspections will be conducted before, during and after the sanitation process.
    • At times may be responsible for driving special equipment such as forklifts or scissor lifts (upon receiving specialized training).· 
    • Performs daily Preoperational inspections of assigned area after cleaning 
    • Performs weekly ATP swabs and reports
    • Must be able to operate production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
    • Records work performed on Sanitation Schedule.
    • Maintains dumpster area in clean and orderly condition
    • Receives written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Management. ·         
    • Works inside and outside, subject to significant seasonal temperature variations and intermittent wetting from some job task.

           Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ·
         Required:
           o   1 year of experience in sanitation, janitorial, or industrial cleaning or another related field.
           o   Be able to communicate with team members, company managers, customer staff and government officials.
           o   Be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including management, supervisory and entry-level hourly employees.
         Preferred:
           2+ years of experience in the bakery industry.

POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification ·
         Required: 
           Must be 21 years of age.
           Must possess sound knowledge of steps to sanitary restoration.
           Must be knowledgeable in industrial safety practices such as Lock Out/Tag Out, HAZCOMM, and other areas, verifiable education in                  industrial safety or a combination of experience and education.
          Must be legally employable in the United States, and project a professional appearance and attitude.
          Preferred:
            Bi-lingual highly preferred (English/Spanish)

         Willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
         Willing to work in all environmental conditions that exist in food processing plants (hot, cold, loud and wet)
         Ability to bend and lift 50 lbs.
         Climbing ladders.
         Handling cleaning chemicals.
         Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
         Continuous use of hands and arms. 
         Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Short-Term disability covers 60% of your base salary to a maximum of $1,000 per week, for up to 26 weeks. There is a 14-day waiting period. Long-Term disability covers the portion of your base salary you select starting at 27 weeks up to federal retirement age.
